Welcome to Monday! :)
Today, I want to share something that was pretty new to me, until my sister decided she was going to become a Jamberry representative. For transparency, she sent me the ones pictured as samples to try and show you - but I also bought some from her premiere party. :D
Here is the link to her website.
This was the first time I've used Jamberry, so I was curious. I watched the video twice on how to use them, and then went ahead.
Because I was doing two accent nails on each hand, I wanted to do them before painting my nails. I did my dominant hand first, because that's the one I knew I'd have the most trouble with - trimming with scissors!!! But it went surprisingly smoothly. In the video, they tell you to file any excess off with an emery board; they say, "Aggressive filing is not necessary." Suuuuuuuuuuuuuure, I thought - but no, really. The excess came off really easily.
The only problem I had was with adhering ONE of the four. I'm not sure what I did differently, but it took me THREE tries to get it to stick. I can already tell that they're going to last longer than my normal polish. No chipping, which is fantastic - I'm really hard on polish. :) I only used about 2/3 of each of two strips, so it's economical - and there's NO WAY I could have gotten the stripes even, let alone the circles done freehand! :)
I'll let you know how long they last - if I decide to take them off before they need to be taken off. :D
I'm having a Facebook party; there are chances to enter drawings, play games, etc. It's going on today through Wednesday; if you'd like to join up, here's the link! If it doesn't work, message me and we'll add you. :) If you want to book your own party, let Kelli know I sent you! It's great because anyone can order from anywhere! :)
Have a wonderful day, dear friend! Be BLESSED!

Manicure Monday - ombre
Welcome to the last Monday in February! The older I get, the faster time flies. :)
Today's manicure is brought to you by my dear husband, who bought me a mini ombre set for Christmas. This is my first time using it, and I think it's really fun! :)
"Ombre" is simply gradients of the same color. So one nail gets painted one shade, etc., etc. It's usually lightest to darkest - but I didn't know how dark the glitter would be, so it's kind of out of place. :) It's a fun manicure to wear because of the different colors being in the same family. When they're all different colors, it's called a "skittle" manicure. :) I'm looking forward to doing one of those, probably closer to summer. Although it MIGHT have to happen with pastels in the spring... :D
OK, I'm outta here!! Have a wonderful day! Be BLESSED! :)

Manicure Monday! :)
Happy Monday! :) Did you have a good weekend?
So, Kenn and I don't make a big fuss out of Valentine's. Seriously. My roses? Already dying - which he's not too happy about, because of how expensive they are. He bought them the night before Valentine's. Anyone see the connection? :D
ANYWAY. For church on Sunday, I wanted to do something fun. So I did a light pink gradient - the darkest pink is down by my cuticles, fading to light pink at the tips. Then, I put fun little heart rhinestones - which I got from Amazon.com with the gift certificate my sister and BIL gave me for Christmas :) - on them. Having a little extra bling is a lot of fun. :D
OK, I'm outta here. :) Have a wonderful day! Be BLESSED!!!

Manicure Monday, throwback!
Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend?? Are you ready for your week? It's the LAST week of January. One month already GONE. Whoah.
I didn't blog this manicure when I did it, and it was one of my favorites last year. Do you see the turkey??? This was one of my first attempts at free-handing anything, so I think it turned out pretty darned well. :D
The other four fingernails are feathers. :D This was probably second to the "Scooby Doo eyes" manicure I did. :D It just makes me smile, even now!
My new Bible Study group meets at my house today at 10:15! If you can't come - and EVERYONE is invited! - please pray for us. We're doing JESUS THE ONE AND ONLY by Beth Moore, and I'd certainly appreciate your prayers as we meet together for three months.
THANK YOU! :) Have a wonderful day! Be BLESSED!

Manicure Monday!
Just another Manicure Monday! :D
Did you have a good weekend??? I did. It was a nice weekend - church was wonderful, spent time with good friends, and my husband... :) And I did these nails!
For church, they were just the purple - I did them last night, and didn't have time to do the striping tape. The polish is one that was given to me by a secret elf at church; I posted a sale from Target on FB, and someone was able to completely sneak it onto my seat at church while I was busy working! I LOVE IT, if you read this blog, secret elf!!!
Yes, that's striping tape! I've never had any, so I ordered some from Amazon.com with part of a gift certificate from my sister. I got LOTS of it, so I've been checking it out a bit online to see what I can do with it. :)
This is an application directly to my nails, and my first time using it, EVER. I think I did pretty darned well, considering I can't do anything straight to save my soul. :D There are a couple that I can't decide if it's the tape that's crooked, or the way I've filed the nail, but... :D
As you can see, this tape is REALLY thin. I put it on, then just covered with a top coat. Voila! :) (The ring I accessorized with is one I got a couple of years ago, online, for $5. Isn't it gorgeous?? It's HEAVY, too!)
OK, I'm outta here! Have a WONDERFUL day!! BE BLESSED!!

Manicure Monday!!!
Happy Monday! So, these are the nails I was wearing for New Year's; I didn't feel well, so not too many people got to see them - but I felt like it was a party on my nails! :D It's called a glitter cascade.
The base is OPI Au Champagne, a frosty pearly color. The glitters are all different ones; I got some mini bottles of polish for Christmas, and three of these were from those mini bottles. The red was one I got from another friend for Christmas. :)
I can't wait to show you the one I'm wearing right now, either. :) Assuming I can get Kenn to shoot it for me...
OK, I'm outta here! :) Have a wonderful day - and stay WARM! Be BLESSED, my friend!

Manicure Monday!
Good Monday Morning!
Sorry about last week. If you only knew...! :D
So, I promised to share the tuxedo manicure this week. Here it is! :D
It's kind of funny - I'm left-handed, but I seem to do better when working with my right on my left. Maybe it's because I'm being SO careful? I don't know. But these were fun. People loved them! :D
You can get a tutorial here. It was fun to show off, but a little difficult to do and care for. I might do it again, though. :D

Candy Corn Fingernails
Happy Monday! :)
Sorry about last week; I just got totally wiped out, and spent every spare moment - which weren't numerous! - resting. But now that the show's up and running, and I only have to be there Friday and Saturday, I should be doing MUCH better. :D
Today's post is from Julie Ann's Art, for candy corn fingernails. :)
Now, I haven't a clue why I'm into nail art all of a sudden - but I am. :D I did a fun one this weekend that I'm looking forward to sharing soon. This one I did last week - and got lots of comments on it. :)
I didn't find the tutorial until a few minutes ago - I was just working off a photo. SO, I painted my nails white, then did the orange, and finally the yellow. And looking at her tutorial, I'm not sure I'd go with the orange first - I'm thinking the yellow, to make sure I get great coats of it down. You can see through it on the photo! But I would definitely do this one again - it was really cute. :)
Do you do your own nails? I figure I save about $40 a mani - and getting it done in a salon usually means they completely peel off in 24 hours. Go, me! :D
OK, I'm outta here! Rest and work are the orders for this week. If you want more info on the show I'm doing, drop me an email! :) Or leave me a comment. Have a wonderful day! BE BLESSED!!!

Nailene French Tip 2 Go
Happy Friday! How's your week been? Do you have fun plans for this weekend? Or are you super-busy? Or doing absolutely NOTHING? :D
I wanted to share something a bit different with you. :) I go in spurts where I want to feel all ladylike and do things like my nails and feet. Then there are periods of time when I don't want to fuss so I don't. :D (We'll see how it goes on the beach this time!!!)
Well, I decided I wanted to try something new when this recent "spurt" started - so I went to Walmart and found this kit. Now, right beside it are stickers that you can use to get nice lines - and the stickers fit into the insert on this kit package - so I picked up a package of them. too.

I love my tips! (I've since done them again, for a filming I was a part of for a Bible Study. More on that another time. :D) That first time, I didn't press the stickers down well enough in the corners of my nails, so the tip paint seeped underneath a bit. And because of my fat fingers, I ALWAYS get paint on the sides of my fingers. Trust me, the second time came out MUCH cleaner and straight. I'm typing with them now, and pausing to admire them every sentence or two. :D I would highly recommend this kit to anyone who'd like to do their own French tips! The kit was about $6, I think, and the stickers another $2. There are enough stickers to do my nails probably 8-10 times. And I'm going to do my toenails soon, too! :)
OK, I'm outta here! Have a wonderful weekend! BE BLESSED!
